What football gear is included with my registration fee?
Football registration is $350. This includes your child’s game uniform, socks, and use of an NEP owned helmet and shoulder pads. Uniforms and equipment will not be issued until registration fees are paid in full.
What forms of payment do you accept for registration?
Credit/debit cards are the preferred method of payment.
Are there payment plans available?
Yes. We have payment plan option available for the 2024 season. Sign up early to receive the full benefit of our extended payment plan. Again, registration fees must be paid prior to gear/uniforms being issued.
What other expenses may I incur?
You are responsible for providing your child’s mouth guard, chin strap, and any practice clothing. Estimated cost of additional gear to be provided by player: practice jersey $20, practice pants $30, mouth guard $15, chin strap $15, and cleats.
Additional, optional expenses - Team and Individual Photos $20-$55.
What is the time commitment?
Most of our teams practice approximately 2 hours a day, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. We expect the majority of our practices to be at the Roger Scott Athletic Complex. Coaches will communicate with parents and players throughout the season to make them aware of practice changes. Optional preseason workouts generally begin in June and practices begin late July. We play all games on Saturdays with the youngest teams early in the morning and older teams in later in the afternoon/evening.
What league/organization does NEP participate in?
NEP is a member of the Northwest Florida Youth Sports Alliance (NWFYSA). The NWFYSA features numerous parks, including (Bellview, Brent, Cantonment, Central, East Pensacola, Ensley, Gulf Breeze, Milton, Navarre, NEP, NWE, Pace, Perdido, Pensacola, Salvation Army and Wedgewood). Games begin in middle of August and the championship game is tentatively the weekend before Thanksgiving.
How many teams does NEP have?
NEP is an 8-team park. We have teams in every age group from 6U
to 14U. In order to play on our 6U team, you must be at least five years old on August 1st. In order to play on
our 14U team, you can not be attending high school.
Can my kid play up an age group?
NEP is an age-specific park, which means if your child is 12 on August 1st, he/she will play with the 12U team. "Playing up" would only be allowed in rare circumstances and must be approved by the board, and both head coaches.
Are there weight restrictions for players?
Yes; our league has weight limits for each age division. If a player is over the weight restriction they will receive a red stripe on their helmet and cannot carry the ball, they will be restricted to only line positions on offense/defense.
The weight limits for each age are as follows:
Does Northeast Pensacola provide participation trophies ?
If a team wins the league championship, this is a very big accomplishment. The park will provide each player on the championship team a ring or trophy, at the Head Coach and Board's discretion. The park does not provide participation trophies. The park will have a fund raising event during our Homecoming weekend. Those funds raised will be divided among the cheer program and individual football teams. The head coach can make the determination to use those funds towards an end of the year party, or additional trophies, if they prefer.
